Measles Alert: Dane County Health Officials Share Additional Exposure Locations
MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - In a recent development, Dane County health officials have released new information about potential measles exposure sites, adding to the previously identified locations. This update comes in the wake of a confirmed measles case among a University of Wisconsin-Madison student, who was exposed during international travel.
The additional exposure sites and times are as follows:
Madison Metro:
- Monday, January 26: J Route, H Route, G Route, O Route buses potentially impacted from 4:05 p.m. to 8:55 p.m.
- Wednesday, January 28: C1 Route, J Route, O Route, H Route buses potentially impacted from 10 a.m. to 3:10 p.m.

UnityPoint Health – Meriter Hospital Emergency Department:
- Saturday, January 31 from 10:20 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

These new locations are in addition to the previously announced exposure sites, including the Brogden Psychology Building, Waisman Center, Genetics Building-Biotechnology Center Building, and Union South, as well as the Qdoba Restaurant.
Health officials emphasize that anyone who was present at these locations during the specified times should check their measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine status promptly. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services and Public Health Madison & Dane County are working to notify approximately 4,000 individuals who may have been exposed, with the student testing positive late on Sunday afternoon.
