Jodie Steele Returns to HEATHERS THE MUSICAL as Heather Chandler for a Limited Run
McKenzie Kurtz gave her final performance as Heather Chandler in Heathers The Musical on Monday, December 15. The production will welcome back Jodie Steele in her original West End portrayal of Heather Chandler for a limited engagement running from Friday, December 19 through the end of January. Standby Sara Al-Bazali will assume the role on Wednesday, December 17 and Thursday, December 18. A permanent replacement will be announced in the coming weeks.
Heathers is currently at New World Stages. The show recently extended its run for a second time and is now scheduled to continue through May 24, 2026.
Jodie Steele’s theatre credits span a wide range, including Elphaba in Wicked, Katherine Howard in Six, Blanche Barrow in Bonnie and Clyde, Shelly Parker in Bat Boy, Sheila in Hair, and Sherrie in Rock of Ages. Her stage work also features Roberta Kilgore in Picture You Dead and Diana in Filumena. On screen, she’s appeared as Lily Vernon in the BBC series “Malory Towers,” and in ITV’s “Professor T” and “Emmerdale,” as well as the long-running BBC soap “EastEnders.” Her film work includes A Rare Breed, Angling For Love, Empress Clawscream, Two Wolves, A Merry Royal Christmas, and an entry in the Anthology.
